Chamfered Washer Dimensions (DIN 125 Form B / ISO 7090, M5 to M36)
Guide ยท Updated October 28, 2026
DIN 125 form B covers chamfered flat washers, M5 to M36, now DIN EN ISO 7090. Hole, OD and thickness tolerances agree across the fasteners.eu DIN 125 B / ISO 7090 table, the Fastener World India DIN 125 B sheet and the Veskrep DIN 125 B sheet, with the Westfield ISO 7090 guide matching through M20 (except one M10 OD value). Skipped: chamfer size, weights and sizes above M36. Check your supplier for critical work.

Worked example: M12 washer stack
An M12 DIN 125 B washer has a 13 to 13.27 mm hole, 23.48 to 24 mm OD and 2.3 to 2.7 mm thickness. For a worst-case stack of two washers, allow 5.4 mm.
Common problems
- Need under M5: form B is not made that small; use form A.
- Washer dishing with 10.9 bolts: use 300 HV.
FAQ
Form A vs form B?
DIN 125 form A has no chamfer (ISO 7089 equivalent); form B has a chamfered outer edge (ISO 7090 equivalent) and only exists from M5 up. Hole, OD and thickness match form A at the same size.
Is ISO 7090 the same?
fasteners.eu lists DIN EN ISO 7090 as the current norm for DIN 125 B, and Westfield says ISO 7090 replaces DIN 125 type B.
How is this different from the flat washer chart?
That chart gives ISO 7089 nominal sizes. This page adds form B tolerances and the in-between sizes M7, M14, M18, M22, M27, M30, M33 and M36.
What was skipped?
Chamfer size (no source gives it), weights, and sizes above M36, where one source lists different holes. Westfield shows 21 mm OD at M10; three other sources say 20 mm, so 20 is shown.
Which hardness?
200 HV for bolts up to 8.8, 300 HV up to 10.9 (ISO 7090 classes).
